| Situated on the northern slopes of Etna at a height of 730m asl, the Cottanera company was founded in the 1960s by Francesco Cambria, father of the current owners Guglielmo and Enzo; it covers a total area of 100 hectares. In the 1990s the two brothers re-launched the company with a project to increase wine-production on Etna by replanting new vines and refurbishing the cellars. Thanks to this new philosophy and the use of innovative techniques, today Cottanera is part of a very exclusive group of companies producing quality wines in Sicily. The challenge has also involved the third generation: Mariangela, Francesco and Emanuele, whose vitality has contributed to making Cottanera a modern wine-producing company where quality is always in first place. |
